Abstract
Boostrix Tetra® is an inactivated booster vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and polio for adults and children over four years of age who have completed their primary immunisations.1 It contains an adult dose of diphtheria and acellular pertussis antigens, in combination with poliomyelitis and tetanus antigens.1 Boostrix Tetra® can be used in place of the tetanus toxoid vaccine to manage tetanus-prone injuries. In this instance, the individual must have previously received a primary vaccination series against tetanus and also requires a booster dose against diphtheria, pertussis and polio.1
