Taking stock – looking back over 20 years in order to look forward

Abstract

The theme of SAAHIP’s 2014 conference was “Taking Stock” – a recognition that the 20th anniversary of South Africa’s democracy provided a wonderful opportunity to look back at what had been achieved, in order to identify what still needed to be done and to re-energise the efforts of pharmacists to provide a quality pharmaceutical service in hospital and institutional settings. As part of the conference, a workshop was held with delegates on the same theme – Taking Stock.
