Abstract

The Rooibos plant is a leguminous shrub native to the Cedarberg Mountains in the Western Cape region of South Africa.1 The genus Aspalathus includes more than 200 species native to South Africa and the polymorphic species A. linearis (Family: Fabaceae) has various wild forms.
